National Park Trust · Conservation

An annual report people can explore.

After nearly two decades of designing National Park Trust’s annual reports, we transformed the 2025 edition into a responsive digital experience where impact is mapped, stories unfold, and giving connects directly to outcomes.

The challenge

How do you evolve a trusted annual publication into a digital experience without losing the story that made it matter?

Hybrid Studios has designed and produced every National Park Trust annual report since 2007. For 2025, the opportunity was to carry that long-running publication partnership into a web-native format — preserving the report’s editorial rigor while making its stories, locations, program results, financials, and ways to give easier to explore on any screen.

From publication to experience

A report designed to be explored — not simply downloaded.

The 2025 experience brings the annual report’s editorial storytelling into a responsive, web-native format. Full-screen photography, modular story sections, persistent navigation, clear calls to action, and carefully adapted layouts create a cohesive journey across desktop, tablet, and mobile while retaining the character and authority of the publication.

Impact grounded in place

A national story readers can navigate.

An interactive map connects National Park Trust’s work to the places where it happens. Visitors can move between park-preservation and youth-and-family projects, explore individual sites, and open detailed project stories that pair measurable results with the landscapes and communities behind them.

From accountability to action

Data that explains impact — and invites the next step.

Program dashboards, financial summaries, supporter recognition, and an interactive gift calculator make the report’s data easier to understand and use. Instead of treating outcomes as a closing appendix, the experience brings evidence, stewardship, and opportunities to help into the central narrative.

A partnership measured in years

A publication system that has evolved with the mission.

From the 2007 annual report through the 2025 edition, Hybrid Studios has designed and produced nineteen consecutive reports for National Park Trust. Across changing formats, identities, priorities, and audiences, each report has turned a year of preservation and youth engagement into a clear, compelling story — and the 2025 interactive experience extends that legacy.
